Pork supplied to international destinations

Cárnicas de la Litera supplies professional buyers internationally. There is no closed list of destinations: tell us where the product is going and the export team confirms what applies to it.

What changes from one destination to the next is the documentation, the labelling and the packing — not whether an enquiry is welcome. Requirements are confirmed before an order is placed, not after loading.

How eligibility is determined

Product × Establishment × Destination

Product
Product code, family, specification and processing condition.
Establishment
Export approval and the certification scope that applies to it.
Condition
Chilled or frozen, and the handling each requires.
Destination
Import rules, veterinary documentation, labelling and packing.

What changes from one destination to the next

Destination does not decide whether product can be quoted; it decides what has to accompany it. These are the six things that vary, and each is settled before an order rather than discovered at the port.

  • Health certificate

Consignments to a third country travel under the export health certificate model agreed between the EU and that country, signed by the official veterinarian. Which model applies follows from the destination and the product.

  • Establishment listing

Some destinations accept any EU-approved establishment; others require the individual plant to appear on a list the importing authority maintains. Which applies to your destination is confirmed at enquiry, before anything is committed.

  • Labelling and language

Carton and pack labelling carries the product description, batch identification, weights, storage conditions and dates. The particulars required and the language they appear in are set by the destination market.

  • Packing and configuration

Carton format, liner, piece presentation and pallet pattern are agreed against the product specification. Some markets and some buyers require a configuration different from the one held against the code.

  • Chilled or frozen

Condition governs the transport mode, the temperature regime carried on the documentation and the shelf life available on arrival. It is fixed with the specification, not after the route is chosen.

  • Customs classification

The catalogue sits under Combined Nomenclature headings 0203, 0206, 0209 and 0504 depending on the cut. The subheading declared, and the duty and quota treatment that follows, depend on the destination tariff.

None of this is decided by the catalogue. Two buyers ordering the same code for different destinations receive the same specification with a different document set, a different label and, where the market calls for it, a different packing configuration.

How consignments are prepared and despatched

Tell us the destination

Send the destination country and port, the product codes or a description of the cut, the volume and whether you need chilled or frozen. The export team will confirm the documentation that applies and what can be supplied against it.

Optional. Separate codes with commas.
